Opachi by Venini

The Venini Opachi Vase represents a refined expression of Murano glass artistry and modern Italian design. Designed by Tobia Scarpa, the Opachi series emerged in the 1960s, bringing minimalist elegance and balanced proportions to Venetian glassmaking.

Handcrafted in Murano by master artisans, the vase is produced using the traditional blown Opalino glass technique, a process that gives the glass its distinctive depth, smooth surface, and luminous color contrast. The Moka and Lattimo tones create a sophisticated interplay between warm brown and milky white, enhancing the purity of the vase’s sculptural form.

The Opachi collection reflects a design dialogue that began in the 1940s with Carlo Scarpa, who drew inspiration from the elegant shapes of East Asian porcelain. Tobia Scarpa later reinterpreted these influences through a more minimalist and monochromatic aesthetic, creating the iconic Opachi forms known today.
