Description

The Venini “Where Are My Glasses?” Vase (FO377751000X0D8) is a striking contemporary design piece created by visionary designer Ron Arad for Venini in 2018. Part of the celebrated Where Are My Glasses collection, it transforms an everyday object into a surreal sculptural statement.

Handmade in Murano by master glassmakers, the vase is crafted using traditional Venetian techniques combined with experimental design processes. Molten glass is skillfully blown into iron molds inspired by eyeglass frames, resulting in a fluid, organic interpretation of eyewear on a monumental scale.

Finished in a rich red crystal tone, the piece captures and reflects light with intensity, enhancing its sculptural presence. Its generous diameter and balanced proportions make it equally powerful as a standalone art object or as part of a curated contemporary interior.

Ron Arad’s concept plays with perception and transparency, turning a familiar object into an unexpected visual experience. As the designer himself describes, the idea emerged from experimentation at the furnace—where imagination and craftsmanship merge into a single artistic gesture.
