Venini, a historic glassmaking company founded in 1921 by Paolo Venini and Giacomo Cappelin as Cappellin Venini & C., quickly established itself as a symbol of Murano glass art. Renamed Vetri Soffiati Muranesi Venini in 1925, the company became renowned for its exquisite blown glass creations. In the 1980s, Venini reached its peak through collaborations with prominent designers and architects such as Alessandro Mendini, Gio Ponti, Ettore Sottsass, and Carlo Scarpa.
